Singapore Architect

The project succeeds with its carefully executed dialogue between the existing building and its contemporary interventions - retaining the weight, texture and memory of the original fabric while introducing lighter new elements that allow the different periods of construction to remain legible.

Through restraint and a sensitivity to scale, the work demonstrates how a historic home can be adapted without erasing the character and accumulated layers that give it significance.
