The architect breathed new life into a tired boutique hotel which was originally a conserved Chinese Clan School, built in the 1920s. The project encompasses hotel branding, restoration, interior design and way-finding. The building’s narratives & social history informed all aspects of design decisions. The architect’s strategies included a carefully selected material palette that complements  the original aged and patinated finishes. Carpentry was designed and loose furniture were selected with references to the erudite history of the building. Visitors are treated to a holistic experience during their stay here.
